But this community, this place is ours. And we won't give it up.

At JD Ellison and Company, we believe in the power of community, especially in times of crisis. As a communications agency, we know how to connect the dots, get people the information they need, and get into action. That’s why we’ve launched a mutual aid initiative focused on direct action and harm reduction—no red tape, no glory. We’re here to help our neighbors and support small businesses and entrepreneurs in Western North Carolina, especially those from marginalized backgrounds who’ve been hardest hit.

Our mission? Get relief where it’s needed most, using the skills and resources we have. If we can’t help, we’ll find someone who can. Simple as that. We’ve partnered with nonprofits, elected officials, and government agencies, but we’re not waiting around. We’re cutting through the red tape to deliver real support right now.

A big part of our goal is the sustainability of relief, always looking toward recovery. What will our community look like at the end of this? How will we survive? Who will shape our future? We’re committed to doing our part to ensure that the people of WNC lead that charge and that those rebuilding what’s been lost reflect the heart of our community.

At the end of the day, we’re showing up however we can, making sure no one gets left behind. Together, we’ll rebuild stronger—no barriers, just people helping people.

Thank you for your support.
